My Uncle, Lt. George William Murray, Jr. (Bombardier - kneeling, second
from left) at Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was assigned to
the 721st Bomb Squadron at Manduria, Italy and flew 33 missions
as a Bombardier for the "Cottontails". Shot down in April, 1944, over Italy,
my Uncle ended up in Stalag III.
