Crashed and burned due to dinghy releasing itself and becoming entangled around
the tail after take-off. The pilot (Harlyn H. Schroeder) and co-pilot (Delwin D.
Roorda), who managed to keep the plane aloft after the rest of the crew bailed
out near Bungay, salvoed the bombs in the North Sea and tried to land at
Attlebridge but on the approach the aircraft dived into the ground killing both
pilots. Salvaged 16 Feb 45.
