Flew 41 missions from 23 May 44 to 24 Aug 44. After
the 34th BG transitioned to B-17s, TOMMY THUMPER II was transferred to the 467th
BG / 790th BS. It subsequently crashed on a training flight 22 Jan 45 resulting
in the deaths of Pilot John T. McArthur Jr. and all nine crew members.
