Shown with members of the Alpena, Michigan, War Finance Committee, which raised the money to sponsor the bomber through War Bond Drives in Alpena County. On the left is Captain C.G. Alexander, Army Air Force Assistant Representative of Willow Run. The gentleman in the middle is Mr. Peter Newman of Drayton Plains, Michigan, whose son (SSGT. Jack Newman - POW) was Radio Operator/Gunner on the original THUNDER BAY BABE (42-7623) which was lost 24 Mar 44.
