Lost power on #1 and #2 engines returning from a mission to Prato, Italy, 15 Jan
44. Four men bailed out before the ship went into a tight spiral and crashed
into the Adriatic killing the remaining six aboard.
The name MIGHTY MOUSE is an error and originates from
"Grottaglie, and Home", page 54 in a story by Angelo Gervasi. Gervasi and
Brouillette were both members of the Frones crew, although neither flew on 15
Jan 44 when 41-28594 went down. I suppose with the passage of time, Gervasi
mistakenly remembered the name as MIGHTY MOUSE.
