Made an emergency landing 20 Jul 44 at Woodbridge,
breaking the nose wheel after flak knocked out an engine and exploded a smoke
bomb in the bomb bay. It was there under repair until 6 Sep 44 and might have
had its H2X equipment removed and reverted to regular B-24H configuration. This
could account for its transfer out of 784th BS (T9 S), the PFF squadron.
