After landing on Morotai Island in Oct 44, photo was taken by a Seebee that witnessed
the landing. One of those gunners hanging parachutes out the side was my Uncle,
Private Roy Stanley Jr. He traded the Seabee a quart of whiskey for a copy and
sent it home to Perry, Oklahoma, where it was published in the local newspaper.
In the Perry, OK City Hall, there is a wall inscribed with the names of all the
local boys who served in WWII and his name is on the wall.
