First combat mission 2 Jun 44. Between 7 Jun and 14
Aug 44, Charles H. "Moose" Allen and his crew flew 18 of their 35
missions in SLEEPY TIME GAL. Its RCL was changed from P+ to V early in July
1944. On 17 Sep 44, on return from a truckin' mission to Clastres, France, and
flown by another crew, it crash-landed at Old Buckenham with a flat tire and
ground looped. It was badly damaged throughout and was salvaged.
