Completed 114 missions and was battle-damaged several times. Force-landed 18 Jun 45 at Lavacolla airfield, A Coruña, Spain, when # 3 engine lost oil pressure and had to be feathered during the flight from Shannon, Republic of Ireland, to the Azores on the return journey from Bungay to the USA.
