Shown with Robert K. "Ken" Barmore. He told me that the nose art was painted by
their nose gunner, T/Sgt Leon Stephens, at Hamilton Field in March 1944. The
name was chosen by the whole crew. They flew SCRAPPY
from Hamilton Field to Catellucia, Italy, but never flew it again. The crew was
shot down 5 May 44 in DEVIL'S DUCHESS (42-52094).
