Caption Reads: "Captain Paul E. Livingston of Pauls Valley,
OK, and S/Sgt Walter J. Boyce, 109 Anthony Ave, Bellmore, L. I. NY inspect the damage to a B-24 Liberator bomber that crashed upon returning after encountering heavy flak and fighters on mission to Munich. Although the ship was badly hurt before reaching the target, the pilot continued his bomb run, dropped his bombs, and returned several badly wounded men to his base in Southern Italy. The ship was so badly damaged that it will have to be salvaged."
