WILLIAM CAROW |
Contributor - Michael Carow
My Father, 1st Lt William Carow, was with the 465th
BG from 7 Oct 44 until 29 Oct 44. The plane and crew were transferred to the 2641st Spec Grp
(Prov) / 885th BS (H) where they flew until their 50th mission was completed 28
Mar 45. The photo shows the very subdued nose art which was later removed due to blacking out the aircraft for missions. They flew 9 missions with the 465th and 41 missions with the 885th for a total of 318 hours.
