Test flight over Detroit, MI. (24 Sept 43)
Info Contributor - Steven P. Puhl
The image is over downtown Detroit flying south over the Detroit River. It will
then make a tight right over the river and Canada to head back to Willow Run.
This was probably a shake-down run, and would therefore have probably headed out
over Lake Erie first for a "mock bomb salvo" before returning home. In the
distance is the then business area of the "D", so was east of downtown. The
distance from the bird to "wheels-down" is about 37 miles.
