Named and flown overseas by the Robert McFain crew in Apr 44. Lost 13 Oct 44 from flak damage over Vienna with John Blaney's crew aboard. The crew bailed out over the Adriatic Sea. Three were lost at sea; Blaney, Tail Gunner Rudolph Moreno, and photographer William Battagliola. The other eight were picked up by Air-Sea Rescue and returned to service.
