MISS FIT for a veteran 7th Air Force crew which has had two of its B-24s shot up
on missions against the Japanese. Flight Nurse Dorothy H. O'Rourke, San
Francisco, bursts a bottle of beer over the bomber's nose guns. The
skipper, Lt. Robert L. Barnsley, Ozone, Ark., (on stand) and his flight crew
witnessing the ceremony, at the 7th Air Force Marianas base, have received the Air
Medal with two clusters and the
Distinguished Flying Cross. Lt. O'Rourke has evacuated wounded by air from
Tarawa, Kwajalein, Saipan and Guam."
