Replacement ship from Apr through Sep 44 when it was
declared war weary and loaned to 458th BG for truckin' missions. In Oct 44 it
had a 4.5in rocket launcher tube cluster fitted beneath the rear fuselage.
Eventually salvaged by 3 SAD due to right aux spars being badly buckled front
and rear (dates recorded 26-31 May 45).
Recorded as assigned to 448th BG when salvaged. There
is a faint suspicion that it might have been one of several assembly ships used
by that Group.
