My Father, Lt. Carl Powell (deceased 1989) was the
Navigator (original crew). The aircraft was named after "Penelope", the pet dog of
Pilot Lt. Nick Radosovich. Photo shows Crew 41's Ground Crew/Bomb Loaders near
16th mission.

This was the 2nd LUCKY PENNY in the 453rd BG. First mission: 9 May 44. Crashed 17 Oct 44 near Malmédy, Belgium, after the crew baled out near Spa, Belgium.
