Jun 44. HOPPY's starboard vertical stabilizer was damaged and replaced with a silver stabilizer from a wrecked ship. The original olive drab rudder was retained. Upper ship is STAR DUST (#30 42-52188). Lead ship in background is WOOD'S CHOPPER (#35 42-7750).
Lost near Split, Yugoslavia. Attempted to reach the Island of Vis after suffering flak damage over Graz, Austria with Bills' crew aboard. 1 KIA, 3 POW, 8 RTN
