Shown with the original crew at March Field, CA. They were shot down in another A/C named ROOSTER (41-28650) on 8 Apr 44 on the units 28th mission, and the crews 12th mission. On this mission Lt. Gibson and Lt. Jones were not flying. They were replaced by 2nd Lt. Alan A. Jones as Co-Pilot and 2nd Lt. James B. Turner as Navigator. Also on board as observers were 1st. Lt. Warren T. White from the 733rd who was actually flying in the Co-Pilot's seat when they were shot down, and 1st Lt. William C. Joy as an additional Bombardier.
