This is the aircraft flown by Lt. Ulick Bell during the sinking of the Japanese Cruiser Abukuma, in the Leyte Gulf in Nov
'44. Bell and his Bombardier Lt. Coppola were awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the rest of the crew Air Medals for their part in this operation.
