Starboard (Right) Side - Renamed from PUG - Lost 26 Oct 43, PNG - MACR 1249 - Pilot Frederick S. Hinze, Jr.
Contributor - Theodore J. Williams
The Thomas Crew flew 42-40518 (which they named PUG) overseas in the 529th
and the crew was transferred to the 531st (in the July replenishment) while PUG
remained with the 529th. It was taken over by other 529th crews and finally by the Hinze Crew. They renamed PUG to GOLDEN GATOR shortly before they were shot down in it late October '43.
