Port (Left) Side - Nose Art Inspiration - ALBERTO VARGAS - Skip Shelton (Artist/Co-Pilot) 23 Nov 2010
Info Contributor -
Lt.
Col. Craig Rainey
The crew spent their last night in the United States before
deploying to England in San Francisco. This provided the genesis
for the name of the nose art. The art on the aircraft and the
crew's flight jackets were painted by the Co-Pilot Skip Shelton who, in
civilian life, was a commercial artist.

Just wanted to let you know that I came across your website about
FRISCO FRISKY. My Father is Skip Shelton, the artist and Co-Pilot.
He is still alive and well (19 Feb 2002) living in Greenwood, SC. Just wanted
to say thanks for making the website and giving tribute to the fellas that
fought for our country.
