Lost on Mission 116, attacking a Japanese Navy escorted
convoy in the South China Sea. Sustained battle damage from anti-aircraft fire,
and one crewman (Charles P. Yelton - Engineer) was wounded in the hand and arm.
Back over land, the crew bailed out between Swatow and Amoy, east of Hong Kong
and was rounded up by Chinese guerillas and transported back to their base.
