Lt Planche was the Navigator with Capt. John J. Reade's crew which flew the aircraft on no less than 22 missions between 4 Oct 43 and 31 May 44.
Went on to clock up a total of 82 sorties before crashing 9 Oct 44 at West Bradenham, 2 miles south of
Wendling. Salvaged 10 Oct 44
