Photo taken in Wichita, KS, before the crew left for overseas. This crew was shot down
3 Aug 44 by enemy aircraft
fire in 44-41011. Zamora, Kostick, Campbell, Prince, and
Lemley were KIA. Matter, Dodd, and Hooper blown from the aircraft
and taken POW. Bryant and Watling were not on the aircraft.
They were substituted by Bombardier, Lt. Richard F. McDonald, who
also escaped the aircraft and was taken POW.
