On 18 May 45, ten days after the German surrender, the last B-24 (44-42722) wing was mated to the last B-24 fuselage. Designated Line Number 6658, this would be the last Liberator produced at the San Diego plant. Seven days later on the 25th, it rolled off the line.
Converted to an F-7B at Tucson, AZ before delivery to the AAF.
