Shown (L-R): McClosky, Krol and Palmagiani. EASY QUEEN was flown overseas by the
Bruce Bryan crew, arriving with the 449th BG 20 Jun 44. The call sign for the
trans-Atlantic flight was EQ99, and the crew decided the phonetic "EQ" would
make a good name. EASY QUEEN was shot down by flak 29 Aug 44 over the Ferrara RR
Bridge with the Bryan crew aboard, and Capt. William Bolt in the right seat as
Squadron Commander. 11 POW
