Modified in the ZI at OCAD as a B-24D1, received by
the 7th AF on 17 Oct 43 & assigned to 30th BG / 819th BS. Later the names "Joy"
& "Rosie" disappeared and "Don Ameche" appeared inside the original lettering.
Transferred to 11th BG / 431st BS and all lettering removed and replaced with
CENSORED. It survived its combat career to become an RB-24D, suffered a taxi
accident at Eniwetok on 14 Aug 45 and is listed as "CON OBS" (scrapped as
obsolete = not worth repairing) on 27 Sep 45.
