The Iverson crew, along with my Father, Harry E. Ryun (Nose Gunner), was the first crew assigned to BIG EMMA. They left from Hamilton Field to Hickam Field, Oahu, Hawaii then on to Kipapa Gulch, Hawaii. The crew then went to Christmas Island, Samoa, Nandi, Fiji, New Caledonia, then on to Amberley Field in Australia where they stayed ten days. They left for Mareeba, then on to Iron Range. - Jack Cantrell (Tail Gunner) painted the nose art on the plane while they were at Amberley Field, Australia.
