My Brother, Gerard Metzdorff (Flt Eng/Top Turret
Gunner - Kneeling 2nd from right), passed
away in September, 2000. The crew was stationed at Cerignola Italy, and flew
together from the beginning until they rotated back to the U.S. I believe they
were all being trained on B-29s when the war ended.
