Photo taken on a factory test flight as the pitots
are shown in the low position. After this, the aircraft would have been
delivered to a mod center and the pitots would have been raised to the more
familiar "eyebrow" position.

Original aircraft received 20 Sep 42 in the 44th BG. RCL changed from "D" to "S" in Sep 43. Belly-landed, exploded and
burned 16 Dec 43 in a minefield on the beach in the mouth of the river Humber,
off Skeffling, East Riding, Yorkshire, on a mission to Bremen. Salvaged 29 & 30
Dec 43.
