Badly damaged by enemy aircraft during the 20 Apr 44
mission to the shipyards at Monfalcon, Italy. Went off the runway and crashed
into a gasoline truck after returning to the field. Crew escaped before aircraft
was destroyed. Pilot: 2nd Lt Robert L. Cook.
